2019 Humane Education Teacher Workshop

Friday, October 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. | Oregon Humane Society

Oregon Humane Society is excited to announce the launch of our very first Humane Education Teacher Workshop! This endeavor is inspired by the idea that we, as educators, play a critical role in creating a kinder, more compassionate community, now and into the future.

A Certificate of Attendance will be provided for those wanting PDU’s for Oregon State continued teacher licensure.

The day will include:

·         A presentation on Humane Education: Why it is crucial to creating a more humane society

·         How to integrate Humane Education into an already full classroom curriculum

·         Discussion on how OHS can support and collaborate with teachers to reach more youth

·         A tour of the Oregon Humane Society

·         Animal snuggles and socialization

·         A catered, vegetarian lunch

Please register by October 1.  Seats are limited, so please do not wait to sign-up. A $40 payment is required to reserve your spot, with all proceeds going directly to help shelter pets. Financial assistance is available, so if cost is an obstacle to attending, please contact Rachel Gene.
