WillaMutt Strut is here and I am joining the pack to save lives.

You know how much I love animals. They provide companionship and comfort, as well as a good laugh when we need it. That's why I'm fundraising for animals in need at the Oregon Humane Society. Each year, thousands of pets find loving homes through OHS. Some stay just a few days, while others are there for months.

Maybe was found locked in an abandoned house in Salem, Oregon. Having been trapped inside with no food or water for more than a week, Maybe tried to claw and eat her way out of the kitchen. Responding to her cries of frantic panic, Salem P.D. broke down the door and saved her from certain death.

Maybe's immediate medical needs were addressed at Salem Dog Shelter - broken teeth, torn claws and footpads, and infected amateur cesarean sections.

Having failed two adoptions, Maybe was facing an uncertain future, Luckily, I had an opportunity to make a difference. On Christmas Eve Maybe came to live the life of love, daily dog adventures, belly scritches and home made dog food in Pitbull Crazy town - aka my house.

Maybe is kind and loving. Happy and funny. No one who meets her can help but smile. Why did I name her Maybe? Look at her. Maybe she's a dog. Maybe she's a hippo. Maybe she's a silverback gorilla. Who knows? Whatever Maybe is, she is a deeply loved member of my family.
