Doggie Dash is back, and I am joining the pack to save lives.
I signed up for Doggie Dash because I believe in creating a more humane society and the pets in our community need help! This is Miss Heidi's ninth year of fundraising and TENTH year dashing! (where has the time gone?!)
To date she has raised over $6,000 for OHS because of her awesome friends like you!
While COVID may have stopped us from dashing in person - and we didn't feel comfortable soliciting donations from others for the past two years - we did "officially" "dash" around the living room to keep up the tradition!
Every person who supports OHS and Doggie Dash is becoming part of something bigger. Your donation to the Oregon Humane Society can: -Help pets find new homes, including those from the super-awesome Second Chance program which brought Miss Heidi (then known as April) to Oregon. -Provide medical care for sick and injured animals -Rescue animals from cruelty and neglect -Deploy emergency responders to disaster zones -Help pets and people stay together
Thousands of animals go to the Oregon Humane Society each year for vital support, and they never put time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter.
OHS receives NO tax dollars and operates independently of any other shelter (it is not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States). That means it relies entirely on donations and volunteers to save over 11,000 animals each year.
Join us in helping all of Oregon's animals in need feel a little more of the love we feel for ours.
If you can't join us in person on Saturday, May 14th at Waterfront Park, feel free to join "virtually" - joining is free until April 30th! - and simply make a donation of any amount.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and for considering OHS and Doggie Dash in honor of Miss Heidi!
