Doggie Dash is back, and I am joining the pack to save lives.
You know how much I love animals. They provide companionship and comfort, as well as a good laugh when we need it.
That's why I'm fundraising for animals in need for my work at the Oregon Humane Society.
Each year, thousands of pets find loving homes through OHS. Some stay just a few days, while others are there for months.
The Oregon Humane Society has been a big part of my life the past 7 years. I have learned so much and work with wonderful people and animals. Because of my work here and the various teams I've served on, I've come to realize that in order to help our community's pets, we must first help the humans. I'm now studying Veterinary Social Work in the hopes of addressing people's needs so that they can better care for their pets. I've also compiled a list of other resources for folks who are having difficulty getting their pets cared for. That information can be found at https://www.oregonhumane.org/shelter-resources/.
I hope you'll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!
