I'm lacing up my shoes for the Doggie Dash, a fundraiser for Oregon Humane Society!
You know how much I love animals.
Both Stretch and Porkchop were adopted from the Oregon Humane Society, so this year I’m taking part in the Dash on 5/9 because the pets in our community need help. OHS rescues pets that are neglected and abused, sometimes with serious medical issues. They heal them and then find them homes with loving families. But they need our help to do this. They feed and care for more than 11,000 animals each year without any tax dollars.
Did you know that OHS never puts time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter? What really touches my heart is when two pets go to OHS and are best friends, they stay for as long as it takes to find a loving home together.
A lot of people don't know that OHS has an onsite hospital. OHS recently cared for a tiny Pomeranian who was found on the side of the road in a crate, completely skin and bones, and needing help. He is now a happy, healthy dog in a loving home.
And when it comes to helping abused or neglected pets, they have a whole Investigations team that seeks justice for these animals. OHS really does give a voice to the voiceless.
I'm hoping you'll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!
Thank you so much!
