Meet the Ambassadashers

You are just as unique as each one of the 11,000+ shelter animals that come through Oregon Humane Society each year. Why you participate in Doggie Dash and how you fundraise for animals are not one-size-fits all.

That's why we're enlisting the help of our Ambassadashers — three OHS-adopted pets who have their own unique style and motivations. Every week until October 3, the Ambassadashers will offer fundraising tips and tools in to help make the most of your route to the Dash. Make sure you're registered and subscribed to Mutt Mail emails!

Tip: Check out the Fundraising Guide and other available resources below, too.

Hey! Mitzi here. I’m small — but mighty — and have a lot to say! I found my way to OHS with a broken leg and they helped me heal. That’s why I want to fundraise to help all of the injured pets. I can be shy around others that I don’t know. But, that’s why I'm excited to participate in Doggie Dash with my best friend, Leo. Let’s do this together!

If you relate to Mitzi, you might be Better with a Buddy!

CricketMeet Cricket
Origin: Baker City, OR, by way of the Second Chance program
Adopted: November 27, 2015
Likes: Making biscuits, TikTok, scented candles, binge-watching New Girl
Dislikes: Surprises, closed doors, hairballs
Theme song: The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars
Life motto: If it feels good, do it.

Greetings, I’m Cricket. I was a famous poet in a previous life, but I can’t tell you which one. It’s a secret. I’m fundraising because I was a shelter cat once and I want my fellow felines to find homes. You can follow me for clever ideas that you can do from home. We’ll earn prizes, help save animals and still have time to fit in a nap.

If you relate to Cricket, you might be a Creature of Comfort!
