Join me in supporting Doggie Dash, a fundraiser for Oregon Humane Society!
I am doing this to honor all the pets in my life, both my own, and those that I am an uncle to. Of special note is Buppus who grew up in St. John’s and is retired to Big Sky Country. On April 5th, we lost Buppus. I like to believe his doggie spirit is hanging out with our dear friend Jamshed having forever treats and all kinds of adventures.
I also dedicate this to Sgt. Pepper who makes the rounds with me, weekly, of green spaces in the Portland and Vancouver areas.
This year I donated my car Maxx to Oregon Humane Society and now I want to raise money to help this fine organization.
You know how much I love animals. I signed up for Doggie Dash because I believe in creating a more humane society and the pets in our community need help!
This past year so much has changed, yet our love of pets is constant. Even with everything that has happened, OHS is still committed to their mission and helping pets and people in need.
Did you know that OHS never puts time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter? What really touches my heart is when a pet arrives at OHS who may be shy or frightened, OHS has a special program to help teach them to trust people and that love is good.
OHS realized early during the pandemic that pet owners needed help and OHS has stepped up to support pet owners around the state. Close to 100,000 pounds of pet food was delivered to shelters and food pantries around the state, and given directly to owners at free pet food banks at OHS.
I hope your pets were a comfort to you through this very challenging past year.
And I'm hoping you'll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!
Thank you so much!
