Bear is Raising Money for OHS Pets Again!

Can you believe that Bear is still here to raise money for his 10th Doggie Dash??

To celebrate our 10th year (Bear won't be walking, but maybe he'll attend in a little red wagon), we are trying so hard to raise $2000 for the Oregon Humane Society. Every other Friday, Bear lets me leave home to go walk dogs at OHS in the morning and he understands how much it means to those shelter dogs, just like it meant for him.

Did you know that OHS never puts time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter? What really touches my heart is when two pets go to OHS and are best friends, they stay for as long as it takes to find a loving home together.

A lot of people don't know that OHS has an onsite hospital. OHS recently cared for an adorable shepherd mix who was hit by a car and received a lifesaving leg surgery.

And when it comes to disasters, OHS is also there to help pets. They even drove a van down to California and took in cats from areas affected by the Camp Fire.

I'm hoping you'll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!

Thank you so much!

P.S. Want to join me at Doggie Dash? Registration is FREE through March 31. Register today. >>

Less than one month to the Doggie Dash and we are still trying to raise the last $1700 to reach our goal! Bear loves sharing his fundraising prizes with his top donors, so you could be in to win some wine, passes to Canines Uncorked, dog toys, and other great prizes! We never thought Bear would be here for another Doggie Dash, so honor his amazingness with a donation to OHS in his royal honor.

Thank you to Dan, Elizabeth, and Al for making the first donations! We are on our way! $2,000 is an audacious goal, but Bear wants you to know that he thinks your love of OHS and all they do to find homes for over 12,000 pets a year will inspire you to give. And you don't have to be from Oregon! Did you know that almost 8,000 pets adopted through OHS last year came through the Second Chance program that brings animals in from other shelters?! Some came in from as far away as Maui, Alabama, and even a dog meat farm in South Korea. Bear thinks is super important to keep this programs going for shelter pets just like him!
