I'm lacing up my shoes for Doggie Dash!

You know how much I love animals. I signed up for Doggie Dash because the Oregon humane Society works solely on donations and has no government funding.

Did you know that OHS never puts time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter? We do not euthanize for time or space and last year we did over 12,000 adoptions!

A lot of people don't know that OHS has an onsite hospital. I now work on the medical team and we do so much for every animal that comes into our care. I’m learning so much and get to work along side some very knowledgeable people. Just recently we had a very young pug, now named Potato, surrendered to us with her eye popped out of the socket! She did not come from a good situation. The doctors at OHS did amazing work and were able to save her eye. Through friends, I was able to find her such a loving a home where she is now living her best life. Her new family is the best and is helping her become a happy and healthy pup!

And when it comes to disasters, OHS is also there to help pets. Last year I went down to Northern California to help the people of Paradise find their pets after they lost everything in the wildfires. It was a heart wrenching yet a very rewarding experience. People there lost everything and being able to reunite them with their lost pet was everything.

I'm hoping you'll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!

Thank you so much!

P.S. Want to join me at Doggie Dash? Registration is FREE through March 31. Register today. >>

This is Jack. Me and a few coworkers rescued him out of a car engine. Happy to report he is doing very well now after that scary experience.

This gentleman is Lonnie, he was reunited with his dog after losing everything in the wildfires, including his wife.

This is Potato with her new family,. All this is made possible through donations!
