Within days I'll be part of the Oregon Humane Society’s Doggie Dash, Saturday, May 13 at Tom McCall waterfront Park from 8am-1pm. The public is welcome with many dog fun activities and booths. My own life was transformed by the two Chihuahuas that I adopted after facing a devastation loss in life. I was gripped by deep despair and depression...my two tiny bundles of joy helped transform my life into the dynamic Community focused interactive joyful life that I now live. Micah is my 5.5 lb. love bug, climbing machine, high energy Min Pin, deer head, Chihuahua mix...Kyrie is a white/brown long-haired, 4.2 pound ,"super smart" hunter, snow hiker, purebred apple head chihuahua....daily sources of interaction, fun, laughter, kindness, hiking, biking and bringing joy to countless others. They go practically everywhere I go.

We will ride my city bike, which I call the "Chi-mobile" to downtown Portland from my house to waterfront Park , 6 miles... then have a bunch of fun, do 2.5 mile walk over 2 bridges and ride home. My bike has collapsible metal rear cargo racks which I put their tiny blue soft dog carrying bags on the top of it and then bungee them solidly on top with viewing windows out the back of the bike. The dogs and all the people that interact with them always have great fun.

I need your help. OHS rescues pets that are neglected and abused, sometimes with serious medical issues. They heal them and then find them homes with loving families. But they need our help to do this. They feed and care for more than 11,000 animals each year without any tax dollars.

Please enjoy the photos below, my story, and the many community comments below. I was not able to include all the photos I had hoped to put on the website due to limitations and my computer melt down. I hope to encourage you, build hope, community, hope, and joy. Please consider donating, if you feel comfortable click on a Donate tab with a suggested amount...OR... click the tab marked "OTHER" and then donate a dynamic dollar bill, a fabulous $5 or ANY amount you like. All donations up to 25K will be doubled by Wentworth Subaru of Portland if made on Wed or Thursday, May 10th or 11th. Please leave YOUR personal comment and read other folks' comments that adds SO MUCH to the fun and community...and think of your own pet! Also, please share my website with everybody you know that would enjoy it...whether they donate or not. Encouragement, hope, community is the goal. All are welcomed...none are refused! Let's build bridges ! And please enjoy your pet or somebody else's today ! Donations may be made until Friday May 12 at midnight.

Thank You...so much !
