Izzy, the great Bulldog explorer, is taking part in the Oregon Humane Society’s Doggie Dash on May 13, to raise money for all of the shelter pets her mom works with. OHS rescues pets that are neglected and abused, sometimes with serious medical issues. They heal them and then find them homes with loving families. But they need our help to do this. They feed and care for more than 11,000 animals each year without any tax dollars.

Izzy's avian brother, Jinx, was rescued by OHS in July 2016 from overcrowded, deplorable conditions. OHS took care of Jinx and the other 244 birds that were rescued for 6 months before adoptions could proceed by erecting a separate emergency animal shelter to house all of the birds. It's donations from wonderful people like you that make life-saving work like this possible. Jinx and the other birds are now thriving in homes throughout the Northwest because of OHS.

Please donate to the animals on Izzy's behalf. $50 vaccinates 10 pets; $85 spays/neuters three animals; $200 is needed to feed every pet in the shelter for one day. Any amount helps! Just click on a Donate button on this page. Izzy thanks you!

About the Oregon Humane Society: OHS is the largest and oldest humane society in the Northwest. Last year, OHS found homes for more than 11,600 pets, investigated more than 1,000 reports of animal cruelty, and reached 14,000 people through its humane education programs.
