Oregon Humane Society’s first priority is the safety and health of our attendees, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and staff. If you are sick or feel you are getting sick, we ask that you please stay home. Oregon Humane Society reserves the right to modify and add requirements at its sole discretion.
How can I send a donation request or thank you email to my donors?
To easily send emails to donors from your fundraising Dashboard, follow these steps:
1. Click the "Email" tab under your profile image.
2. Enter the email address of the person you want to thank. This can be manually entered or added from your "Contact Book".
3. Under the "Template" drop-down menu, select the type of email you would like to send. To ask for donations, select "Fundraiser Donation Request Email". To thank someone who has already donated to you, select "Fundraiser Donation Thank You Email".
4. Hit "Review Email."
5. A separate box will pop up. Then hit "Send Email."
To send emails from your standard email account, follow these steps:
1. Click the "Email" tab under your profile image.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Under the "Template" drop-down menu, select the type of email you would like to send. To ask for donations, select "Fundraiser Donation Request Email". To thank someone who has already donated to you, select "Fundraiser Donation Thank You Email".
4. Hit "Review Email."
5. A separate box will pop up. Then hit "Send Email."
6. Log in to your email account and open the email you just sent.
7. You can now forward this email to anyone in your address book, just remember to update the greeting for each individual you are contacting!
How do I enter Endurance Challenges?
On your fundraising page, click on the Endurance Challenges tab at the top menu.
Personalize your goal (optional).
Strava users:
- Click the orange “Connect with Strava” button and log in with your Strava credentials, then authorize Rallybound (the fundraising page) to connect
- Import the activities that you want to use in your Sweat for Pets challenge
- Check the box that says “Automatically post all imported activities to fundraiser feed” (otherwise, you’ll have to enter your workouts manually)
- The next time you workout with Strava, it will appear on your Doggie Dash page!
Non-Strava users:
- Click the blue “Enter Activity” button
- Choose your activity from the dropdown menu or type in alternate option below
- Log your distance and calories burned, as well as the date of your activity
- Check the box that says “Post to fundraiser feed”
- Click “Add Activity”
Please note: the Endurance Challenge tracker will not appear on your fundraising page until an activity is entered (synced or manual).
How do I add a livestream?
Add a Livestream:
Once you're ready to stream, follow the steps below to add your stream to your Doggie Dash fundraising page.
1. Log in to your Doggie Dash page, also known as your Dashboard:
2. Click "My Page" in the top navigation bar
3. Scroll up and hover over your site banner to reveal your edit options
4. Click "Add Livestream"
5. Choose your streaming service and enter your associated handle or direct URL to your video.
6. Choose whether to embed the chat feature along with your stream. The chat feature is available for Twitch and YouTube streams and allows your audience to interact with you.
7. Click "Add Livestream”
8. Reload the page to view your livestream!

What is my personal page URL?
A personal URL is a shortened link to your Team or personal page that you can send to friends and family in emails. A personal URL will look like this https://secure.oregonhumane.org/2023doggiedash/odin.
If you would like to change your personal page URL, from your Doggie Dash portal go to the My Page tab.
Once on that page on the right side click on URL in the Edit My box.
No. You can run, walk, or jog at your own pace. Doggie Dash is strictly a "fun run" and is not a timed event. Most participants enjoy a leisurely stroll. Dashers will start the run/walk in waves every 15 minutes from 9 to 10 a.m. Runners are encouraged to sign up for the first wave at 9 a.m.
Can I participate without a dog?
Yes, you can come with or without a dog. Canines are welcome but not required!
What are the leash rules?
Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Leashes should be no more than six feet in length while on the course. For safety reasons, “extend-a-leashes” will NOT be allowed.
Do I need proof of my dog's vaccinations?
Participating dogs must be currently licensed with proof of Parvo and rabies vaccinations. You do not need to bring proof with you; if an incident occurs, you must be able to produce proof in a reasonable amount of time.
Are there restrictions on what dogs are allowed?
To keep this event safe for all:
Female dogs in heat are not permitted. Doggie Dash officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet so that this event will be safe and enjoyable for everyone. OHS suggests that dogs younger than six months should not participate.
Are baby strollers or skateboards allowed?
No bikes, skateboards, roller blades, etc. are permitted for safety reasons. Baby strollers are permitted.
Who is responsible for dog waste cleanup?
If you bring a dog(s), please be sure to clean up after him/her.
This is very important for health and safety on the course as well as in the park itself. Waste disposal cans will be provided. Some poo bags will be available at the event, but please come prepared and bring some of your own.
After you've registered, you will automatically be logged in to the Doggie Dash fundraising website
(secure.oregonhumane.org/doggiedash). If you become logged out after a time, look in the upper right corner for a button that will say SIGN IN. Log in using the email and password you chose during registration. (If you are actively logged in, this button will display your name instead of Sign In.)
If you need a password reset, please click Sign In and then click Forgot Password? at the bottom right of the sign in screen.
How do I enter a donation during registration?
In Step 4 of Registration, you will see a section " + Add Additional Donation." Click this and a box will open up where you can enter your donation amount. $50 will earn you the Doggie Dash socks, as well as kickstart your fundraising. Thank you!
Someone else registered me for Doggie Dash. How do I log in?
If a friend registered you for Doggie Dash, you should receive an email at the address they provided for you. This email should contain instructions to set your own password. You can sign in at the Doggie Dash website here,

How can I register additional participants, like my spouse, children, or friends?
The easiest way is to choose "Create Team" or "Join a Team" during registration. You will see a plus sign with "Add More Dashers" in the next registration step. Please enter each person's email address so they will be sent their own login info.
Children under 10 do not need to register but can participate for free. Same for canine participants!
If you registered solo but would like to join or start a Doggie Dash team, you can choose Join, Create, Switch Teams (includes invite new participants) from the checklist in your Doggie Dash portal (right side menu).
How do I get back to my fundraising portal?
Look to the top menu bar of the Doggie Dash website. Click the Sign In button. Once you sign in, you'll automatically be taken to your fundraising portal. If you're already signed in, you'll see your profile image. Click on your image, then click Profile.
How do I switch teams or join a team?
All team management options (join or create a team, invite more participants to join your team, or switch teams) can be found in the right side checklist menu in your fundraising portal. You can also select the option to leave your current team if needed.
What is my personal page URL?

Can a donor add a dedication message that appears in my fundraising honor roll?
When a donor makes a donation online, s/he can enter text to appear on the fundraising honor roll. This may be the donor's name, or it could be something like "From the whole Wolf family" or "In Memory of Aunt Cathy."

Do I have to raise money to attend Doggie Dash?
Although OHS relies on this fundraiser to care for abandoned and mistreated companion animals, there is no minimum fundraising requirement.

Can I raise money even if I can't attend Doggie Dash?
Attendance is not required to be a participant. You can register as a Dasher and raise funds from home, vacation, or wherever you might be. You still receive a personal fundraising web page and can earn great prizes regardless of how you choose to participate.
When is the last day to raise funds online for Doggie Dash?
After the day of the Dash, you can still collect donations through our website until May 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
If you have offline funds to turn in, either bring them to the shelter or mail them with the
Doggie Dash donation form to:

Can I get receipts from OHS for my donors who requested them?
All donors who contribute by credit card online will receive an email statement of thanks from OHS. This gratitude includes their donation information and acts as a receipt.
If you receive check or cash from donors, please be sure to include the donor’s first and last name and full mailing address at the time the donation is submitted to OHS so we can mail them a receipt.
Why isn't my profile image showing up in Facebook posts?
It's possible your image is too small. Facebook won't capture images that are too small. To see if Facebook is capturing your image,
click here and enter your fundraising page URL. The result will tell you what information was collected from your page.
What can I do if a check is written out to me personally?
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to Oregon Humane Society.
Can I mail in a cash donation?
We request that you bring cash donations to OHS in person, or take the cash to a bank and request a cashier's check made out to the Oregon Humane Society. Please send checks in the mail, along with the
Doggie Dash donation form so we can send receipts to your donors. Please do not mail cash donations. Once we have received and processed your offline donations, you will then see them appear on your personal page.
To ensure that all your gifts are confirmed and are counted towards the top three fundraising individual prizes and top three team prizes, please mail your donations to OHS with the Doggie Dash donation form or bring them to the OHS shelter five days prior to the event date. Donations collected after that date should be brought to the shelter and turned in with
this form. Donations collected after that date will continue to count towards individual fundraising gift levels and should be brought to the shelter and turned in with
this form. To ensure the safety of your donations, please do not send cash in the mail.
How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my page?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If your donation does not post within 5 minutes, please
contact us.
Can I enter a check online?
You can't enter a check online. What you can do is send a check by mail along with the
Doggie Dash donation form so we know where your donation is intended to go, or bring it to OHS in person with this form.
Once we have received your offline donations, you will then see them appear on your personal page. In order to ensure your gifts are confirmed before the event, please mail all offline donations five days prior to the event.
The status of the check will be pending until the check is received by Oregon Humane Society.
A donor is requesting a Tax ID number. What is that and how can I get it?
A Tax ID number identifies Oregon Humane Society as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. The Oregon Humane Society Tax ID number is 93-0386880.
Not all of my donors are showing up in the Honor Roll. Why?
As your donors make a contribution, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll or remain anonymous.
Where can I find a list of the people who have donated to me?
Sign in to your Doggie Dash portal. Select "Reports" tab under your profile image. You will then find a list of all of your donors. If you've participated in past years, you'll also see a list of your donors from past Doggie Dashes.
Why am I receiving emails telling me that I've received a donation?
You are receiving these emails because we would like to keep you updated on your fundraising efforts. If you wish to stop receiving these updates, please login to your portal and edit your notification preferences. Please note that opting out of these emails will opt you out of all Doggie Dash emails, including event updates, prize pick-up info, etc.

Can I ask a business for support?
YES, great job getting creative with your Doggie Dash fundraising! Individuals and teams that are soliciting support from a business (e.g. charity day/night, donation-based class, donation for raffle, etc.) should please first let
Rose Williams, OHS Sponsorship Manager, know the details before you ask a company for a donation. We want to ensure community businesses are not being over-asked, and we may be able to help you promote your fundraiser! OHS may help promote your fundraiser if:
- the activity occurs within a defined period,
- details of the donation being given to the Dasher’s fundraising are specific and public (i.e. 20% of all sales will be donated),
- Dasher/Team is partnering with reputable businesses that don’t conflict with the OHS mission,
- all activities are compliant with all state and government regulations, including any required permitting.
Can I have my prizes shipped to me?
Yes! For those who can't pick up your fundraising prizes, you can have your prizes mailed to you. The request and payment for shipped prizes must be received no later than May 31. More information coming soon!
How do I add a dedication when I make a donation?
When you make a donation online, you can designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's Honor Roll. This may be your name, or it could be something such as "From the whole Wolf family" or "in memory of Aunt Cathy." Make your selection under Display Name Options on the donation page.

How do I find a participant's personal page?

Yes, anyone who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email.

Doggie Dash is held at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, SW Naito Pkwy between SW Pine and SW Stark Streets.

Where do you pull up your vehicle to unload?
When you arrive at the park, pull your vehicle onto the paved area under the Morrison Bridge and wait there until a Doggie Dash representative greets you. You will then be escorted to your booth space in the park.
Can you drive your vehicle onto the grass?
Do NOT drive onto the park grass without an escort. The park has many sprinkler heads, and your escort will help you navigate a clear path to your booth. If you enter the park without an escort and damage any park property, you will be held responsible.
Unless alternative arrangements were made with OHS staff, booths must be set up between 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, May 12, or 5 – 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 13. All vehicles must be out of the park no later than 7 a.m. the morning of May 13 and are not allowed to be left in the park overnight.
If you are renting or using a complimentary canopy from OHS Portland Campus (1067 NE Columbia Blvd. – ATTN: Sarah Yusavitz), it will be set up by 4 p.m. on Friday, May 12. If you are bringing your own canopy, we will have volunteers onsite who can assist you with set-up.
Sponsors with seawall banners may drop them off to OHS by 2 p.m. on Friday, May 12 and we will deliver and hang them at the park for you.
When are vehicles permitted on the premises?
The only time vehicles are permitted in the park is between 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, and between 5 – 7 a.m. on Saturday. All vehicles must be out of the park no later than 7 a.m. the morning of May 13 and are not allowed to be left in the park overnight.
Is there overnight security?
OHS will provide security in the park Friday night but is not responsible for stolen goods. We do not recommend leaving products or goods in the park overnight. If you leave goods overnight, you will need to cover your items with a blanket or tarp.
Where can we park during the event?
Unless prior arrangements have been made with OHS staff, you cannot park under the Morrison Bridge during Doggie Dash. Smart Park Garages are located at: SW 1st & Jefferson, SW 3rd & Alder, SW 4th & Yamhill, and NW Naito & Davis.
When should the booth be ready to go?
Doggie Dash registration officially opens at 7:30 a.m. Please have your booth ready for visitors by 7:30 a.m.
When will food be served?
OHS Food Tent and Libation Station booths will begin service at 8 a.m.
Independent food carts will have food available for purchase starting at 7:30 a.m.
What time does Doggie Dash End?
Doggie Dash ends at 1 p.m.
Is there a required raffle prize for vendors?
Yes! Unless waived by OHS staff, all sponsors are required to donate one item with retail value of $25 or more to be used in the Doggie Dash Raffle. This raffle helps raise valuable funds to support the animals and is another great opportunity to promote your company at the event. (Non-profit organizations are exempt from this requirement.)
Where do I bring my raffle prize, and do I get a donation receipt?
You may deliver your raffle prize to OHS Portland Campus (1067 NE Columbia Blvd. – ATTN: Rose Williams) by 2 p.m., Friday, May 12. Alternatively, you may bring the raffle item with you on Saturday, May 13. You will be directed to the OHS raffle booth where you will be provided with a donation receipt for the item.
Can I provide marketing materials display with my raffle prize?
Yes! Be sure to include promotional materials (business cards, brochures, etc.) to be displayed with your item! If you bring a gift certificate, please also bring a display and description to communicate the value and terms of the gift certificate.
What if I want to donate a gift certificate for the raffle?

When can we pack up our booths?
Booths must be packed up immediately following but not before the end of the event at 1 p.m.
What do we do with trash/recycling following the event?
Sponsors are responsible for transporting all trash, compost, and recyclables (i.e., cardboard) to the designated on-site dumpsters, located under the Morrison Bridge.
What are the rules on accessibility for my booth?
Per ADA requirements, vendors will make their services and products available to all people and come out of their booth area to assist a customer if needed.
Can I use polystyrene containers for food/beverage service?
No polystyrene foam products are allowed for food or drink distribution.
Will I have access to electricity or water hookups?
Unless prior arrangements have been made with OHS staff, no water connections or electrical connections are provided at vendor booths.
Can I share my booth with another sponsor or organization?
Booths may not be shared with another company or organization unless prior approval has been granted by OHS staff.
Can we sell pets at the event?
Neither vendors nor others may sell pets on or near the event grounds.
Are there stipulations for giveaways at our booth?
Items given out at booths should be safe for children and pets. Please ask owners before giving their pet a treat due to possible pet food allergies.
How many handouts/giveaways should we bring?
We anticipate approximately 3,000 registered visitors at Doggie Dash, and an additional 1,000 unregistered visitors.
Registered Doggie Dashers can be identified by their Doggie Dash t-shirts, or by special “Doggie Bags” which they will use to collect sponsor giveaways and event swag. These Doggie Bags will be handed out at registration, where unregistered guests can be encouraged to pick one up. Providing giveaways to unregistered guests is allowed and will be left up to your own discretion.
Can we bring our own dogs?
Yes, you may bring your dog with you! Dogs must have good temperaments and need to be always kenneled or kept on a leash. It is also expected you pick up after your pet. Dogs must also be licensed and current on Parvo and Rabies vaccinations. Do not bring female dogs in heat.
