Jean Tuomi
Honor Eric's Memory by helping the dogs he loved
Eric Charles Tuomi of Milwaukie, Oregon, was born in Portland, Oregon, to the late Eleanore Tuomi and Ralph Tuomi. He graduated from Milwaukie High School, where he starred in multiple plays and musicals. He received a degree in political science from the University of Oregon, and was a lifelong fan of Duck Football.
He started his career at the University of Portland and went on to work as a consultant and trainer for colleges and universities across the country and internationally.
Eric is remembered for his uncommon sense of humor, far-ranging conversations, enjoyment of craft beer, and the spoiling of dogs everywhere.
He is survived by his father, Ralph Tuomi and his wife, Amy; brother, Paul Tuomi and his wife, Teri; sister, Jean Tuomi and her husband, Michael Gipson; nephew, Samuel Tuomi; and niece, Peyton Tuomi.
Memorials in Eric’s name to the Oregon Humane Society are welcome and appreciated. A celebration of life will be held in September with details to follow.
