Doggie Dash is on, and I am dashing to save lives!

You know how much I love animals...particularly dogs. They provide companionship and comfort, as well as a good laugh when we need it.

That's why I'm fundraising for animals in need at Oregon Humane Society.

Each year, thousands of pets find loving homes through OHS. Some stay just a few days, while others are there for months.

OHS provides shelter and care for Oregon's pets in so many ways. Most folks think of it as an Animal Shelter, but OHS is so much more. We have a Humane Law Enforcement team and recently opened an Animal Crimes Forensics Lab to help proces evidence in animal cruelty cases throughout Oregon. We also opened a Community Teaching Hospital to provide veterinary care for our whole community, whether they can afford it or not. (We are also helping to train the next generation of Vets!)

Finally, without OHS, we would not have had our beloved Vinnie or Lu, both of them owner surrenders as young rowdy pups.
