Team Highway to Home is the OHS Second Chance Crew!
Did you know that over half of the pets coming into OHS are through our Second Chance Partners? In 2022, Second Chance helped over 5,328 pets, from 61 partner organizations, from Oregon and other parts of the US. Animals that got a second chance at a great life!
The Second Chance volunteers help drive animals from other locales, unload them, help them through a quick medical check-up and vaccinations (if needed), and get them settled into OHS. Some have been on an airplane for hours, while others come by van. All are stressed, and relish the attention our Sceond Chance team gives them on arrival.
