Let’s Honor Bella By Saving More Sweet Pets!

Cheryl Meyer

I’m participating in Oregon Humane’s Doggie Dash to help animals and people in our community!

As you may or may not know, we adopted our beloved Bella from OHS in 2015.
She was such a character, equal parts loving, delightful, snarky and strong-willed.
She took charge of us and our household on Day 1, and we were so blessed to be herded by Bella for the next ten years!
We catered to her every want and need for 10 years. But ultimately chose to let her fly free in July 2025 after an extended illness.

I’m continuing to participate in Doggie Dash because I feel passionately not only about the great work they provide for our local communities (noted below), but especially to support the Second Chance program.
OHS saves so many animals every week from overcrowded shelters as far away as south/central California. They send a weekly transport to partner shelters in need, and bring adoptable dogs to Oregon, where I’m proud to say Pet Parents are readily available!
Our sweet Bella was a Second Chance pup, from Grants Pass Oregon.

Please help me make life brighter for animals and the people who love them by contributing to my fundraising efforts. Every dollar I raise will help support:

- Daily care for shelter animals while they await their new homes.
- Financial aid for pet owners in need so that they don’t have to deny their animal veterinary care due to cost.
- Specialized training for animals in Oregon Humane’s Behavior Modification Program.
- Investigations into suspected cases of cruelty and neglect by Oregon Humane Law Enforcement.
- Second Chances for animals transferred to Oregon Humane from other shelters across the state and beyond.

I’m fundraising to support all of the critical, life-changing programs and services that Oregon Humane provides. Please make a gift today to help me reach my goal!
