Have fun, help make Doggie Dash a success, and still participate in the aspects of the event you care about the most.

 

What to Expect

Doggie Dash has volunteer positions for everyone! Opportunities to help begin a few days before the events, with the biggest need for volunteers on the day before Doggie Dash Portland (May 9) and on the day of the events (May 10 in Portland, June 14 in Salem). Possible volunteer tasks include:

  • packing supplies
  • loading vehicles
  • event setup
  • checking in registrants
  • distributing prizes
  • monitoring the courses
  • helping to manage the starting line
  • event break down
  • and more
 

Depending on your role and volunteer shift, Doggie Dash volunteers may still walk the course and participate in the festival activities. However, you may not bring your dog with you when you volunteer.

Youth are welcome—and encouraged—to volunteer! All youth must be 12 years of age or older to serve. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering.
