I consider myself fortunate to play the role that I do. Oftentimes my team and I are the first people an animal sees and interacts with after a long transport. Sometimes I am the transporter. Sometimes I am loading a transport vehicle that is bound for somewhere, packing crates with comfy bedding, knowing when that vehicle returns it will be full of sights, sounds, and smells. Full of excited, nervous, and sometimes scared animals. And also full of hope. Hope for a family, a warm bed, a full belly, and a new life. Ride with me on this journey.
