I’m participating in Oregon Humane’s Doggie Dash to support an organization that means so much to me, because I’ve seen their impact firsthand.

I adopted my two cats, Artie (as seen in photo above) and his brother Emry from Oregon Humane, and they both had a tough start. As kittens, they were battling calicivirus and ringworm, and needed several weeks of treatment. Thanks to the incredible resources and care available at OHS, they received the medical attention they needed over five weeks and today, they’re healthy, happy and part of my family.

That experience showed me just how critical Oregon Humane’s work is. Every dollar I raise will help support:

- Daily care for shelter animals while they wait for loving homes.
- Financial aid for pet owners so cost is never a barrier to veterinary care.
- Specialized training through the Behavior Modification Program.
- Investigations into animal cruelty and neglect.
- Second chances for animals coming from other shelters.
I’m fundraising to support these life-changing programs that gave my cats... and so many others, a second chance.
