If you know me, you know my love for dogs and my passion for animal welfare!
February 2025 marks a big month for my involvement with the Oregon Humane Society. I have now been volunteering as a dog walker for two years and will surpass 250 volunteer hours! It will also mark my one-year work-iversary as a Philanthropy Manager at OHS! Every day I’m in awe by the number of community services OHS provides beyond finding pets their fur-ever homes.
While animals are at the core of all OHS does, Oregon Humane Society serves the community in numerous ways beyond pet adoptions.
• Since opening in 2022, OHS’ Community Veterinary Hospital has provided more than $2 million in subsidized care to community pet owners in need.
• In 2024, OHS' Humane Law Enforcement team followed up on 4,387 reports of suspected cruelty and neglect.
• OHS' Humane Education programs serve primarily in Title 1 school students.
• Our Youth Volunteer programs has broken down boundaries for youth to volunteer by partnering with S.U.N. after school programs and Big Brother Big Sisters!
• And back to the animals! Last year, 11,911 animals were adopted!
Will you join me in fundraising for my (very lofty) goal of $2,500 this year to support the community, pets, and animal welfare in Oregon?
