Volunteering with the Humane Society is one of my most rewarding experiences. I am grateful to see first hand the huge impact we have on the community. From welcoming dogs (Second Chance) arriving from high kill shelters, natural disaster areas and Humane Law Enforcement to working with fearful dogs (my specialty) and finally participating in adopting these wonderful dogs to forever homes brings such joy. This year I am caring for dogs in Protective Custody (PC), a new experience that has been very rewarding. Working with staff and other volunteers we help them to build trust. It is so rewarding when we see them go to homes and live the life they were meant to live. I have learned that it takes a lot for all these wonderful things to happen. If you would like to support me I would truly appreciate it.
