As many of you know, my girl Mak came from OHS many years ago and it's always held a special place in my heart. Little did I know then that'd I would be working for this incredible organization one day! However, I’m participating in Doggie Dash as a fundraiser and volunteer, not as an employee, so I can personally help ensure funding for animals in need. That and to support all the other OHS programs that make a huge difference in our community.
Here are just a few of the zillion reasons I'm passionate about this organization and this cause:
The 10,000+ animals who will find a second chance through OHS with a new family this year.
The pet owners who receive subsidized veterinary care from OHS so that they don’t have to deny their animal treatment due to cost.
The victims of cruelty and neglect who will be saved by OHS Humane Law Enforcement.
The shy cats and rowdy dogs who will receive extra time with the OHS Behavior Modification team before being made available for adoption.
