Woof! Woooof! Grr. Woof! AWOOOOOO!

translation: I’m fundraising for Doggie Dash, benefitting the Oregon Humane Society! Help me help animals! Every donation ensures that OHS can continue providing shelter, quality medical care, and TONS of love while animals wait for their new families.

If you have the means, any amount helps.🐾

More to come!

WE DID IT! Thank you to everyone who cheered me on, donated, or followed along to help me reach my goal. Your support helps pets and owners get the resources they need to give animals their best lives possible. Here’s to a great (85-degree🥵) event day on 5/11!

Happy Meownday & a Doggie Dash update! Despite its name, Doggie Dash supports more than just dog care at the Oregon Humane Society. Your donations go towards care for cats, small animals, and enable other community services provided by OHS. Judith was found neglected and abandoned with several other cats, and rescued by OHS’ Humane Law Enforcement team. Evidence collected at the Animal Crimes Forensic Center allowed Salem Police to find her previous owner and secure justice for the cats. Meanwhile Judith, struggling with fearful behavior, got special attention from the OHS Behavior and Rescue Center team to grow her confidence to be ready for adoption. Now all of the cats from this case are thriving in their new loving homes. Your support can help OHS have more success stories like Judith’s. We’re about 2 weeks away from Doggie Dash - can you help me reach my goal of $500? Visit the link in my bio to learn more & donate! 🐾❤️

Did you know the average daily cost to house and care for an animal at OHS is $150? Thanks to our donors, OHS isn't forced to make the impossible decision of whether to continue caring for long-term residents. For example, Asher, who was at OHS for over a year. After being rescued from neglect, arthritis and a disc issue in Asher’s back meant that he needed the right adopter who would be able to provide the medical care that he needed. An OHS staff member, who had become particularly attached to Asher, was grieving the loss of one of her dogs when she started to think about bringing Asher into her family. She’d had pets with special medical needs before and was more than willing to take on any future care Asher needed. On Oct. 16, Asher was adopted and began a new chapter in his forever home.

Happy boy Asher

This weekend, the Oregon Humane Society and OHS Salem transferred 60 dogs from overcrowded shelters in Southern Oregon through their Second Chance Program. This is literally a life-saving opportunity for these dogs and puppies, who are now being cared for by all the wonderful staff & volunteers at OHS. Your Doggie Dash donations make this possible! If you’re able, spreading the word or making a donation at the link in my bio allows OHS to continue saving animals’ lives and helping them find their forever homes. https://www.instagram.com/p/C5hAdk5SaQc/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
